Imphal, June 23 2023: All Manipur Working Journalists Union (AMWJU) has condoled the untimely demise of its former member and Sub-Editor of Sanaleibak newspaper, Khumuckam Rajen on June 22, 2023 due to an illness.

In a release, AMWJU informed that a condolence meeting presided by the union president Bijoy Kakchingtabam was held today at Manipur Press Club in Imphal.

The gathering observed one minute silence and paid floral tributes to pay respect to the departed soul.

AMWJU also shared the pain of the bereaved family and prayed that he may rest in peace in the heavenly abode.

Kh Rajen is survived by his wife, a daughter and two sons.

Moreover, Sheihek Sheireng Sheipal Shamgat Lup (SHEIPAL) president Dr Athokpam Kholchandra also presided a condolence meeting today to condole the sudden demise of SHEIPAL's founder member and editor, Khumukcham Rajen.

The meeting held at the residence of Khomdram Dorendra in Kwakeithel Moirangpurel Leikai, Imphal was attended by SHEIPAL vice president Kshetrimayum Subadani, secretary KC Gita, founder secretary Okendro Khundongbam, former editor Doneshwar Konsam, former secretary IC Ashem, Okendro Khundongbam and editor Rakesh Naorem among others.

Members of SHEIPAL also observed two minute silence to pay respect to the departed soul.
