Imphal, July 03 2023:
Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) has asserted that it is not the time to play political blame game and all concerned should take the issue of external aggression by Kuki Narco Terrorist groups very seriously.
In a release, KSA claimed that the Kuki Narco Terrorist groups and political leaders influenced by them pre-planned the unfortunate series of events since the outbreak of violence on May 3 last to remove Chief Minister N Biren Singh from his post.
The student body shared that analysing the series of events which unfolded in Churachandpur since February 2023 clearly shows that the target for all the chaos in the State was the Chief Minister.
It continued that various initiatives of the State Government including the War on Drugs mission, ban imposed on poppy plantation, and eviction drives carried out in Reserved Forest areas made the Chief Minister a target for the Narco Terrorist Groups.
KSA highlighted that the prevailing situation in Manipur is very critical and changing the CM instead of tackling the Kuki militants who have been attacking innocent civilians is not the solution.
"Changing the CM now means surrendering to the demands of the Kuki Narco Terrorist Groups", it added.
The student body also appealed to all the MLAs and Ministers, irrespective of their political affiliations, to adopt a common resolution to root out all acts of terrorism unleashed by Kuki narco-terrorists from the soil of Manipur and pressure the Central Leaders in Delhi to bring an end to the violence at the earliest.
KSA further mentioned that the association will support all the movements initiated by COCOMI.
Meanwhile, taking serious note over the recent development of political blame game and some parties eyeing for political mileage, Manipur Peoples' Democratic Front (MPDF) has asserted that present communal violence/ riots may take a dangerous turn with the State facing threats from all corners if this trend of political blame game continues.
In a release, MPDF shared that it is high time for all the political parties to remember the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019 and stop playing political blame games especially during these crucial junctures.
MPDF also appealed to all the political parties to set aside their political ideologies and work together to protect the integrity and identity of Manipur.
Besides, the Chanura Lamchinglel Kangleipak (CLK) has also highlighted the need to fight the Chin Kuki Narco Terrorist groups trying to establish a new Golden Triangle area and flood the country with drugs.
In a release, CLK warned that the whole country will suffer immensely if narco-terrorism is allowed to take roots on the soil of Manipur.
CLK further asserted that it will extend full support to all the movements initiated by COCOMI.
