UAL hails Assembly's stand on SoO, NRC

The Uripok Apunba Lup (UAL) has lauded the unanimous resolution taken by the Manipur Legislative Assembly to ask the Government of India to abrogate Suspension of Operation (SoO) agreement with Kuki-Zo militant groups and update the National Register of Citizens (NRC) with respect to Manipur.
In a release, UAL conveyed its heartfelt appreciation to all the members of Manipur Legislative Assembly for understanding the aspirations of the people and passing the historic resolution which will pave the way for peace & normalcy in Manipur.
UAL also expressed its disappointment over the manner in which the MLAs of Indian National Congress walked out of the House amidst discussion on matters crucial to the people and the State.
UAL further appealed to all the elected representatives irrespective of Ruling or Opposition to set aside differences and participate in discussions vital to the State in the ongoing Assembly Session.
