Imphal, March 04 2024: As part of its civic action programme, 86 Battalion CRPF distributed solar street lights at Sehjang village in Kangpokpi district on Monday.

The items were distributed under the aegis of CRPF Manipur and Nagaland Sector IG Akhilesh Prasad Singh and supervision of Battalion commandant Mohamand Yusuf.

Speaking on the occasion, commandant Yusuf explained that Monday's programme was conducted with a view to extend help to the needy area for worthy utilisation of government grant meant for the purpose.

The items were distributed solely in the interest of local villager to fulfil requirement and to maintain the cordial relation between security forces and local people so that villagers will get the light of the development and prosperity, he added.

The village chief and the locals of the area applauded such beneficial initiative of the Battalion and extended their immense gratitude with the hope of many more similar beneficial events in coming future.
