Anti-rabies vaccination campaign ends

The month long Free Mass Anti Rabies Vaccination Campaign organised by District Veterinary Hospital, Kakching under the aegis of District Veterinary Office, Thoubal/Kakching joint director Dr P Gojendro in collaboration with local clubs/organisations under Kakching Municipal Council (KMC) from February 2 ended on Sunday.
On the closing day, vaccination campaign was held with support of Juvenile Association, Kakching during which 105 cats and dogs were administered anti-rabies vaccine.
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the campaign, District Veterinary Hospital veterinary officer Dr Diane Kshetrimayum informed that around 1464 cats and dogs have been vaccinated with support 19 clubs/ organisations of Kakching during the campaign.
The hospital has also vaccinated 134 cows and buffaloes with FMD, HS+BQ and LSD vaccine in the month of January.
In the coming days, it is planning to vaccinate pigs for Viral Disease Classical Swine Fever (Hog Cholera), she said and urged clubs/organisations and public to extend their support.
