The Chingmi-Tammi Unity and Development Committee, Keirao Kendra today distributed loan amounts to the families of hill villages below the poverty line.
The amounts distributed today were from the first phase of a scheme for improving the financial status of the poor families.
The loan distribution function was held at the community hall of the Karpursungba village.
President of the CTUDC, C Silvestre, secretary Longjam Romesh, advisor Karam Keshorjit, pasture of Waithou Chiru, Rockson and village chiefs of Sandang Senba Maring, Phunal Maring Khunjao and Khunou, Poirou Tongba Tangkhul, Irilbung Kabui, Waithou Chiru, Tamram Ching, Ngairangbam, Lemba Khul etc.
took part in the function.
An amount of Rs 2000 were handed over to 100 women beneficiaries selected under the scheme during the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Rameshor said that the CTUDC was established in 2008 with the objective of strengthen the harmony among different communities residing within the Keirao Kendra.
