Ching-Tam Unity and Development Committee has provided loan amount of Rs 2000 to members of 100 BPL families who are willing to work but have no capital to start with.
The loan amount were distributed during a simple function at the community hall of Kapursungba village under Keirao Assembly Constituency today.
Speaking at the occasion, Committee secretary LC Romesh said that the loan amount is being extended after proper identification of 100 BPL families whose members are willing to work but have no capital to start with.
Informing that the rate of the interest on the loan amount is 2 percent, Romesh explained that the interest could have been done away with but it is to be charged to ensure that the beneficiaries do not misuse the loan facility.
The scheme is being implemented on an experimental basis and it is successful then the loan amount as well as the scope would be extended, he said.
