Imphal, September 02 2010:
A two-day brainstorming workshop on "Traditional Fermented Foods of Northeast India" began at Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Imphal today.
The workshop is being held under the sponsorship of Department of Biotechnology, Government of India with the obective of generating research projects to develop value added products through scientific research on traditional fermented foods of Northeast India.
Altogether 20 scientists from and outside the Northeast region representing different institutions are participating in the workshop which will conclude tomorrow.
