Monetary aid provided to injured Prem

In continuation of its ongoing philanthropic acts of extending aid the victims of the communal conflict, Like Minded Group (LMG) Manipur and Tapta Institute of fusion Music (TAIFUM) provided monetary aid of Rs 20,000 to Prem Ningthoujam of Heirok Part II today.
Prem sustained bullet injuries when the central forces fired upon the protesting crowd during the unfortunate Pallel incident on September 8, said a statement by LMG.
A team of LMG and TAIFUM visited the residence of Prem today and handed over the monetary aid.

Speaking at the occasion, LMG secretary Ojit Sorokhaibam said that Prem who got injured due to the atrocities meted out by central forces in the Pallel incident has not been able to recover fully even though after undergoing treatment at Delhi.
His wife is also pregnant and the family is going through a rough time amid the prevailing crisis.
Therefore with an aim to provide some relief to Prem amid this tough time, monetary aid has been provided, he added.
