Senapati, December 18 2023:
The Naga Baptist Pastors' Forum Manipur (NBPFM) has appealed to all to come together and rebuild Manipur where peaceful coexistence will find its place again.
In a press release, Rev S Graceson Thangal, secretary, NBPFM stated that conflict is inevitable in human inter-relationship but when handled and managed with integrity and dignity, it can help in building a better and stronger society.
NBPFM stated that the detrimental effects of the conflict has directly affected all the communities in Manipur especially in areas of economy, health, education and hampered the spirit of coexistence.
"At the end of any conflict, all conflicting parties as well as neutral parties are not without direct or indirect loss", NBPFM pointed out.
In addition, NBPFM decried the desecration of religious institutions such as churches and temples calling it "a disgraceful offense to human sanctity" .
Thus, on behalf of the NBPFM, Rev S Graceson Thangal has appealed to the two communities to cease hostility and come to peace with each other and rebuild Manipur in the interest of the upcoming generations of the State.
NBPFM has also extended their prayers and goodwill of Christmas with hopes for a peaceful and prosperous 2024 ahead.
