T20: AKSDO, RCA, BLUE HAWK & TCMDC register wins

Imphal, December 18 2023:
AKSDO, Khangabok; RCA, Lilong; Blue Hawk, Khurai Lamlong; and TCMDC, Thongju II Pechu Lampak registered wins in the league matches of the 4th MNCA Luwangpokpa T20 Trophy 2023-24 on Monday.
At Public Ground, Khangabok Part-Ill Cherapur, AKSDO defeated FORCE, Kshetrigao by six wickets after opting to held.
Put in to bat first, FORCE scored 111 in 16.2 overs as Mutum Shushil contributed 41 runs and Arbin Khundrakpam 21.For AKSDO, Sanathoi Ningthoujam took 4 wickets and Akash Laishram three, while Laishram Rohit Singh, Roshan Laishram and Laishram Nirash Singh scalped one each.
In reply, AKSDO successfully chased the target of 112 in 15.4 overs with the loss of only four wickets.
The chase was led by opener Bishorjit Mangang, who remained not out on 53 runs, with Chinglensana Moirangthem (13), Laishram Samson Meetei (11) and Akash Laishram (8) chipping in with vital runs to clinch the match.
Meanwhile, RCA defeated IBSA, Yumnam Leikai by four runs in a match held at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Opting to bat first, IBSA scored 94 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 9 wickets as most of the batsmen failed to reach the double digit except for Riyas DCA (17), Azmad Kh (12) and Pravesh (14).Zuned was the leading wicket taker for RCA with four scalps, followed by one wicket each from Zamir Khan and Md Alfash.
In reply, RCA scored 98 in 17.3 overs to win the match by six wickets.
Zamir Khan (27) was the leading run getter, while Boney Potshangbam, Md Safwan Ahamed and Mohd Saad contributed 13, 15 and 17 runs respectively.
On the other hand, Blue Hawk trounced KASC, Khomidok by 9 wickets in a match played at Lairenjam Public Ground.
Winning the toss, KASC chose to bat first and scored 91/9 in 20 overs with WM Rajak (25), Muhammad Ali Karim (15) and Md Sharif Khan (14) being the main scorers.
Blue Hawk's Semson Singh Soibam & Wakambam Samson Singh claimed two wickets each with Ningombam Jackiechan Singh, Samsung Meitei Heisnam, Nameirakpam Lelil and Becker Roy accounting to one a apiece.
Blue Hawk overhauled the target in 14.5 overs with loss of just one wicket as opener Wakambam Samson Singh (31) and middle order batters Dijen Singh Naorem (46) and Amom Guniram Singh (7) made light work of the chase.
TCMDC, meanwhile outplayed MPA, Thounaojam winning by 85 runs in the match played at Model Higher Secondary & Oriental College Ground.
TCMDC scored 177 for two wickets in 20 overs before defending the impressive total by restricting MPA to 92 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs.
TCMDC openers Moirangthem Sunanda Singh and Maibam Askhokumar scored of 69 and 61 runs respectively with Sarangthem Priyobrata Singh (33) being the other notable contributors.
For MPA, Nando Chongtham took one wicket.
Chasing the target, MPA could only score 98 losing 8 wickets in the stipulated overs.
Elangbam Rohit Singh (18), Soram Naoboy Singh 16) and Lucky Elangbam 10) reached the double digit score.
Kongbrailatpam Kalyan Sharma with 3 wickets was the lead bowler for TCMDC, while 2 wickets each were claimed by Thongam Tuljit Singh and Sarangthem Priyobrata Singh, and one wicket by Huirongbam Babulu Singh.
