Christmas Night Carnival opens at Senapati

Senapati, December 18 2023: Designed to bring the community together in the celebration of Christmas that emphasises the rich cultural and religious diversity of Senapati, the Senapati Christmas Night Carnival was opened on Monday evening with huge visitors from across the district headquarters.

The Night Carnival is an immersive celebration organised by Senapati district administration in collaboration with key community stakeholders including the Senapati District Catholic Union (SDCU), Senapati-Karong Area Baptist Union (SKABU), Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA), Karong-Senapati Town Committee (KSTC), Senapati Entrepreneurs' Association (SEA) and expertly managed by HarmonyX Entertainment.

The celebration is scheduled to continue till December 22 at Senapati Bazaar, transforming the heart of the town into a festive wonderland.

Key features of the event include Choral Competition for which Churches from across the region have been invited to participate, showcase their musical talents and celebrate the Christmas spirit through harmonious melodies.

The competition will foster a sense of friendly competition and community pride, with the winning choir receiving recognition and trophy.

Apart from competitions, various artistes including local musicians, soloists and bands performing a diverse range of melodious Christmas numbers will be showcased.

Senapati Bazaar will be transformed into a bustling Christmas market with numerous stalls featuring local artisans, craftsmen, and entrepreneurs.

Variety of products including handmade crafts, local delicacies, festive decorations and unique gifts will be sold in these stalls.

The Senapati Christmas Carnival is aimed at creating a joyous and inclusive celebration, reflecting the cultural and religious diversity of the community and fostering unity during the holiday season.
