Civic action programme: 143 Bn CRPF aims to promote welfare of needy villagers

143 Bn CRPF conducted civic action programmes at Khongsang, Taobam and Farmlane villages at Noney and Tamenglong districts for the underprivileged villagers under the aegis of M&N Sector CRPF IGP, Akhilesh Prasad Singh.
In line with the civic action programme, a one day free medical camp was conducted at Khongsang and Taobam village by 143 Bn, CRPF where Dr Narender Kumar CMO (SG) and his team members extended medical services and provided assistance to the people suffering from various ailments, said a press release by the Commandant, 143 Bn CRPF.
Free medicines were distributed and more than 500 patients availed free medical checkups during the camp.

Second-In-Command, K Sonny Singh; Assistant Commandant Ksh Binodkumar; Aphian Rowangmei, secretary Rongmei Naga Luphum; Acham Kamei, secretary Khongsang and village chairman Tangamang Kamei were present at the occasion.
Apart from the free medical camp, four solar street lights were distributed and installed for the underprivileged people of Taobam and at Farmlane ward No 7 villages.
The programme was led by 143 Bn, K Sonny Singh in the presence of Dr Narender Kumar CMO (SG); Ksh Binodkumar, Assistant Commandant; Inspector Tara Chand and Akhiuana, village chairman, Thandal village secretary of farmlane village ward no 7. 143 Bn CRPF is conducting such civic action programmes along with its primary duty of law and order and internal security with the objective of promoting coordination with civil society for the progress and upliftment of villagers.
