Beauty parlours, 'miscreants' patch up

In connection with the incidents of monetary demands to beauty parlours, Naga People's Union, Imphal (NPUI) has informed that a mutual and cordial understanding between beauty parlours and armed miscreants was arrived at in goodwill gesture and calm conversation on Monday.
In a release, NPUI secretary administration Daniel Leivon Lamkang stated that the two parties have come to an understanding during a peaceful discussion.
Rs 2 lakh was not taken from a beauty parlour of Khongnang Ani Karak near India Bazaar, Imphal'and there no demand for Rs 3/4 lakh was made by the armed miscreants, he clarified.
There were no further unpleasant situations follow-ing the report that appeared in local dailies.
Instead the situation was resolved amicably and peacefully.
In order to maintain communal harmony between Nagas and non-Nagas and ensure peaceful co-existence in the state, it is imperative that such incidents do not recur in future, he maintained, while urging to every community to continue showing respect for one another.
