Imphal, December 18 2023: Motivated to be of service to humanity before joining hands in marriage, a prospective bride and groom have donated blood at JNIMS Blood Bank on their 'Heijingpot' day today.

The couple Laishram Vivid from Top Khongnangkhong and Hidam Roshree from Kongpal Naoroibam Leikai are set to tie the knot on December 20 .

Speaking in this connection, the soon-to-be-married couple conveyed that they wished to extend assistance in the form of blood donation to the people of the trouble-torn State before opening a new chapter in their lives.

Notably, the families, close friends and relatives of the bride and groom also participated in the blood donation.

For the groom, today marks his tenth blood donation.

Meanwhile, Dr Kh Lokeshwar, Medical Superintendent, JNIMS lauded the prospective bride and groom for taking this commendable step.

He urged the public to follow in the footsteps of the couple and become proactive blood donors to save precious lives.
