Aid extended to village volunteers, camp inmates

Imphal, September 11 2023: Tera Keithel Apunba Meira Paibi extended monetary assistance to village volunteers of Tronglaobi On Sunday.

While handing over the monetary aid to the village volunteers, a Meira Paibi leader said that the assistance was extended considering that mothers are duty-bound to aid the local volunteers who are defending the village from attacks by Kuki militants for more than four months now.

Such act of helping the volunteers will continue in future also, she assured.

Meanwhile, Kwakeithel Moirangpurel Leikai Apunba Meira Paibi provided edible items to Tronglaobi and Naransena on Sunday as the Meira Paibi reached out to the volunteers defending the villages from Kuki militants.

Similarly, Tentha Apunba Lup provided relief materials to the village volunteers of Bishnupur district and other relief camps opened in the district on Sunday.

Members of the Tentha Lup provided the essential items to inmates of relief camps opened at Phubala, Tronglaobi, Naransena, Saiton, Sunu Siphai, Sugnu Bazar and Ngangkha Lawai along with assistance to the village volunteers.
