Awareness programme on vector borne diseases organised

Thoubal, August 18 2023:
A one-day awareness programme on National Vector Borne Disease (Malaria, Dengue and Japanese Encephalitis) was held today at the Counting Hall, Deputy Commissioner complex Thoubal.
The awareness programme was organised by the District Administration Thoubal to sensitize the public about preventive measures of vector borne diseases amid the recent surge of such cases in the State.
Clubs, organisations, Meira Paibis and officials of various Government departments of Thoubal district attended today's awareness programme.

During the programme, the resource persons presented detailed information on what is Malaria, Dengue, Japanese Encephalitis and other vector borne diseases, its causes and ways of transmission and precautionary measures against these diseases through power point presentation.
Deputy Commissioner Thoubal Ahanthem Subash, IAS speaking at the occasion appealed to all to take up necessary measures to remain protected from these diseases and make collective efforts to curb the further spread.
