1st Womens' Open Futsal tournament : MPSC-A, ESU-B, MPSC-B register wins

MPSC-A, ESU-B and MPSC-B were runaway winners in the 1st Womens' Open Futsal tournament today at YLL Ground, Ningom Leirak, Pishumthong.
The tournament is being organised by Imphal West District Football Association.
In the first match of the day, MPSC-A had little difficulty in despatching ESU-A, Wangkhei by a margin of 8 goals to 2 .
O Bembem did the star turn for the police team as she led the scoring with three goals in the 3rd, 28th and 39th minute of the game.
The goal spree started as early as the 1st minute of the match, when H Thoi found the target and in between she netted the ball in 18th minute.
Ng Bala also scored twice, in the 6th and 27th minute of the match with S Ibeyaima scoring in the 39th minute to complete the rout.
For ESU-A Wangkhei the consolation goals of two came from Kashmina in the 21st minute and K Tony in the 30th minute.
ESU-B Wangkhei downed a fighting NYTHC, Okram Chuthek in the second match of the day by a margin of 5 goals to 2 .
It was team work which did the trick for ESU-B as five players scored one goal each, with Komlapati banging home the ball as earlier as the 6th minute of the match.
Reeling under the relentless attack from the Wangkhei team, M Bijeta of NYTHC scored an own goal in the 8th minute to help ESU-B take a two goal lead.
The two goal deficit galvanised by the players of NYTHC and Ranjita was bang on target in the 9th minute to reduce the two goal lead.
However, ESU-B went on the offensive and after launching a series of attacks, found the target through Surbala in the 13th minute.
This was followed by Mandakini in the 18th minute, and Umabati in the 25th minute to literally take the match out of the reach of NYTHC.
NYTHC fought back hard, and managed to score in the 32nd minute through Ksh Ngoubi, but by then it was too late and too little.
The third match of the day was again a one sided affair with MPSC-B toying around with the players of SAI RC, Takyel to pump in 8 goals and concede two goals.
The goal spree came as early as the 5th minute of the match when Syed Bukshera hit home and followed this up with goals in the 9th minute and 21st minute.
In between A Tombi of SAI-RC scored an own goal.
L Itarani came into her elements later in the match to score three goals in the 17th, 26th and 27th minute while Sh Shanti scored in the 14th minute.
The two goals for SAI came from Lovely Goula and Th Babysana.
