Imphal, February 23 2014 :
CPI State secretary Dr Nara has categorically stated that the turmoil seen in the present Manipuri society is a syndrome of prolonged misgovernance by the Congress party.
He compared the contemporary Manipuri society to a drifting lost man.
Dr Nara made this statement while addressing the 31st local conference of CPI Patsoi Local Council at Langjing Makha Leikai community hall.
The incumbent Government has been working in the interest of the richer and wealthy section of the society and it has already entrusted many of its responsibilities to private parties under a tacit understanding to share the profits.
There is little difference in the administrations of Congress and BJP.
The Congress party is on the path of downfall and it is no longer enjoying popular support.

Congress party retaining power after the forthcoming Lok Sabha election is most unlikely.
BJP has been working to capitalise on the unfolding situation by launching an extensive propaganda campaign but it would yield no positive result, Dr Nara stated.
As indicated by the unfolding socio-economic and political crisis, India would see a revolutionary political change after the Lok Sabha election, he asserted.
Political parties need to shed parochial outlook and they should be sensitive enough when the situation demands unification.
He went on to assert that he is not CPI's candidate but common and consensus candidate of 11 political parties.
Whereas Congress party has more faith in privatization, BJP is a party of commission seekers, asserted CPI assistant secretary L Thoiren.
CPI does not believe in privatization but is committed to people oriented policies.
It would be impossible for Aam Admi Party (AAP) to replace Congress and BJP without assessing its own strength and merits.
