Superplate: RCA, KSDO seal semifinal spots

Imphal, April 04 2022:
RCA (Lilong) pummelled KASC (Khomidok) by 114 runs to qualify for the semifinals in the MNCA Superplate Tournament on Monday.
KSDO (Kiyamgei) also booked their place in the last four despite losing to PSC (Khuyathong) in the day's other match.
The win against KASC propelled RCA to the second spot of Group A point table in their last league match at Langthabal Public Ground.
They garnered a total of 10 points from 7 matches to secure their semifinal berth.
YWC (Langthabal) were Group A winners.
Asked to bat first, RCA scored 215 before being dismissed in 39 overs.
Md Aqeel took centre in the innings, smashing 75 off 52 balls, with decent contributions from Bm Sabakhan (29), Md Sharif (22) and Imran Khan (21) .
The Lilong side then needed 28.1 overs to bundle out their Khomidok opponents for 101.Md Aqeel followed up his hitting prowess with a lethal bowling display that wreaked havoc on KASC's batting lineup.
The RCA all-rounder racked up 5 wickets for his side.
Bm Sabakhan and Naesh Hussain did their bit with two scalps apiece and Zamir Khan bagged one.
Earlier, Bm Irfan snapped 4 wickets, Md Farijuddin claimed 2, and Wasim Akram, Md Babu and Md Javed Aktar took one each for KASC.
Md Aqeel, who hit 75 and took 5 wickets, deservedly claimed the man-of-the-match title.
In Group B match, KSDO lost to PSC by 6 wickets but the Kiyamgei side still man-, aged to qualify for the semifinals.
Despite their defeat, KSDO remained second in Group A standings after their Monday's last league match at Oriental College Ground.
Put in to bat, KSDO could only muster 63 after being bowled out in 16.4 overs.
Mutum Vicky led the PSC attack as he scalped 4 wickets while Laimayum Prasantajit and Lamabam Martin equally shared 6 wickets between them.
PSC took 14.4 overs to complete their run chase with the help of L Prasantajit (29), Kharaijam Sagarjit (11 not out) and Diamond (10).They lost 4 wickets in their chase.
L Prasantajit was named man of the match.
In an inconsequential Group B match, ESU beat MPSC by 3 wickets at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Electing to bat, MPSC were all out for 139 in 37.5 overs as Keisham Kennedy (35) and Sarangthem Shangker (28) were the only batters who got into double digits in the innings.
ESU's trio of Hemchand Yumkham, Chitaranjan Sharma and Nanao made short work of the MPSC batting order by claiming 3 wickets each, with Surjit chipping in with one.
In reply, ESU took 36.2 overs to achieve the target, losing 7 wickets in the process.
Chongtham Mehul Shreth scored 58 as Keithellakpam Poirei Federick (26) and Hanjabam Joykishan Sharma (24) did their bit to help their side clinch the match.
For MPSC, S Shangker and S Kingson picked 2 wickets each while O Rojit and K Kenney took one apiece.
C Mehul Shreth walked away with the man-of-the-match trophy.
