Student bodies extend wish for board examinations

The Mao Students' Union has informed that it has taken necessary steps and initiated preparations to ensure free and fair examinations in the district.
In a release, the union appealed to all to ensure a conducive environment for the students to ensure that they appear the exams without any hassles.
The BOSEM exam will be conducted from April 5 till April 26, 2022 and COHSEM exam will be conducted from April 7 till May 11, 2022 .
As per the data collected by the Union, 1,934 students from Senapati District will be appearing for the BOSEM (Class X) exam at 10 exams centre's across the district whereas, 1,403 students from Senapati district will be appearing for the COHSEM (Class XII) at 5 exam centres across the district, it added.
The union also informed that in Mao area, altogether 255 students will be appearing for COHSEM exam at two centres; 126 students at Asufii Christian Institute, Mao and 129 students at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Punanamei whereas for BOSEM, altogether 578 students will be appearing in three exam centres; 307 students at Mao Maram Higher Secondary School, Tadubi, 182 students at Okai Academy, Rabunamai, Mao and 89 students at Sardar Patel High School, Mao.
The Mao Students' Union further wished all the students appearing in the board exams to give their best efforts.
Similalry, AMGSU also wished all the students success in the forthcoming examinations.
In a release, AMGSU urged the parents and guardians to keep a check on their wards and make an excellent environment for studies at home.
"Kindly extend them with every possible support and love at this crucial time and not encourage the students in using any kind of unfair means", it added.
Moreover, Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) and Poumai Naga Students Union (PNTM) also extended their wish to all the students appearing in the HSLC and HSE examinations.
