Student bodies extend wishes to exam candidates

Several student organisations of the state have extended wishes to students appearing in the Class X and Class XII examinations, 2022 being conducted by BOSEM, COHSEM and CBSE.
In separate releases, All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU), Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA), All Manipur Muslim Students' Organisation (AMMSO), Manipur Youth and Students' Union (MYSU) and All Meitei Pangal Students' Union of Manipur (AMPSUM) wished the students appearing in Class X examination being conducted by BOSEM from Tuesday and Class XII examination under COHSEM from April 7 .
The student bodies urged authorities of examination centres to ensure free and fair conduct of the crucial examinations and refrain from indulging in any malpractices such as aiding students who are family members or relatives in using unfair means.
They also cautioned that if anyone is found defying the mandated rules and regulation then suitable actions would be initiated under law of the land.
Moreover, OC/AOC/SO of examination centres shall have to bear responsibilities for any misconduct, they declared while urging officials of BOSEM and COHSEM to promptly address any inconveniences faced by students in these centres by coordinating with authorities concerned.
The student bodies also urged the general public to not call any bandh, blockade or any kind of disturbances which may affect the students physically or mentally during the examinations and called upon author ities concerned to provide uninterrupted power supply during the exam days for the conveniences of the students.
Similarly, All Tribal Student's Union Manipur (ATSUM) has extended its wishes and prayers to all candidates appearing for HSLC examination conducted under BOSEM and HSE examination by COHSEM.
"While acknowledging the genuine efforts and sacrifices of all the student candidates, ATSUM reiterates its stand against use of unfair means during the examination," the apex tribal student body of Manipur said.
Considering the importance of promoting quality education and transparency in all examination process, ATSUM appealed to all candidates to give their best and not indulge in any unfair means.
Assuring support to BOSEM and COSHEM for smooth conduct during the crucial examinations, ATSUM appealed to the authorities concerned to ensure effective and purposeful examination process for benefits of the students' future.
