Imphal, April 04 2022:
Students bodies in the State including the All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU), Kangleipak Students Association (KSA), Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) and the All Manipur Muslim Students' Organisation (AMMSO) have extended wishes to the students who are appearing in this year's Class X and XII examinations conducted by BOSEM and COHSEM respectively.
AMSU, in a release, prayed that students may do well in the Class X and XII examinations slated to begin from April 5 and 7 respectively and become responsible citizens of the society.
AMSU however expressed regret that students may not be able to give their best in these crucial examinations due to disruptions caused by successive waves of the Covid Pandemic.
While encouraging the young students to face the papers calmly with whatever they have learnt, AMSU also went on to appeal to the invigilators who are deployed for successful conduct of the examinations to welcome the students warmly when they enter examination halls and ensure a peaceful atmosphere to soothe the students.
AMSU also urged officials concerned to ensure the said examinations are conducted peacefully and fairly.
Expressing that the preparation for visits to examinations with like minded organisations to look into the possible plight of the students are fully made, AMSU said that reports of any plight will be reached out to the authorities concerned.
In a separate release, KSA, too wished the students luck for the said examinations and urged invigilators to strictly adhere to examination protocol.
While requesting all to shun any activities that would disrupt the examinations, KSA also appealed to all to ensure no physical or mental stress is exerted on the minds of the students during these examinations.
May all the students come out with flying colours, it added.
In a statement, DESAM advised against using unfair means during the examinations and urged the students to always remember the future of the State rests on their shoulders.
AMMSO, while wishing the students, also noted that these examinations are just a part of different stages of one's life and being unable to meet expectations in these examinations should not be considered a failure.
Urging all students to remain calm and keep spirits high, AMMSO also appealed to all sections of the society to avoid everything that can disrupt the examinations and contribute in making a peaceful and conducive environment for students.
It also drew the attention of the authorities concerned to ensure uninterrupted power supply during examination days.
