Imphal, April 04 2022:
Apunba Ireipak Maheiroi Singpanglup (AIMS) has spoken out against attempts to damage the student body's reputation and demanded a clarification from JN Dance Academy authorities within two days.
The statement was made by Franky Ningombam, joint secretary AIMS during a press briefing held at the organisation's office located at Kwakeithel today.
Addressing the media persons, Franky Ningombam stated that on April 1 several print and electronic media carried news items of JN Dance Academy authorities staging a protest and accusing AIMS of attempting to dismantle the Academy and trying to smear its reputation.
Franky Ningombam deemed this incident unfortunate and called it a tactic to discredit the student body.
The joint secretary claimed that AIMS had played a big role in bringing about positive changes in the Academy.
But the accusation laid by JN Dance Academy officials on AIMS is extremely unfortunate and will not be taken lightly by AIMS, he added.
He further clarified that AIMS had not sent any document to the Academy or the Governor or published anything with regards to the Academy in newspapers.
As a result, he demanded JN Dance Academy to clarify which "AIMS" were they referring to when they laid down their accusations.
AIMS has also extended their best wishes to the students set to appear for Class X and Higher Secondary Examinations.
