47th Jr National Volleyball Championship : State boys and girls struggle with one win each

State girls and boys are struggling to keep their quarter final hopes of the 47th Junior National Volleyball Championship alive as they secured only one win respectively in three Group stage matches so far.
Having beaten Ladakh in straight sets in the Group A opener, the State boys' team have suffered losses in the hands of Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh.
Manipur are drawn along with Uttar Pradesh, SAI, Andhra Pradesh, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka in Group A in this championship hosted at Aurobindo Stadium, Bardhaman in West Bengal under the supervision of the Volleyball Federation of India.
Top two teams from four groups will qualify for the quarter finals of the championship.
Meanwhile, State girls clubbed in Group D along with Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Uttaranchal, Mizoram and Bihar are in the same position as they went down to Chhattisgarh yesterday and to Mizoram today.
They had however clinched a straight set win over Uttaranchal yesterday.
