PTCC, RCA script victories in 2nd MNCA U-14 Boys Tourney

Imphal, April 01 2023: PTCC-Patsoi Part III and RCA-Lilong sealed victories in today's matches of the ongoing 2nd MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament.

In a Group A match of the tournament staged at PCC, Mayaikoibi, PTCC sealed a 61 run victory over LCC-Lamshang via VJD and other methods.

PTCC registered 185 for 1 in 12 overs courtesy an unbeaten ton from Dhirendrakishore Naorem (41 ball-101), Nongombam Roberson's 38 and 42 extra before rain disrupted the play.

The target was revised at 189 in 12 overs and LCC could gather only 127 runs for 4 in the chase where Okeson Ksh 33 and Lanleiba Sandham 41 remained unbeaten after a disastrous start.

Dhirendrakishore Naorem picked up two wickets in this innings and eventually walked away as the man of the match.

Elsewhere at PTRC ground Patsoi Part IV, RCA racked up 159 for 5 in allotted 15 overs and held MPA-Thounaojam to 78 for 4 to seal an 81-run victory.

Md Anush scored a half century for RCA in their innings which saw Chinglensana of MPA claiming three wickets alone.

In reply, Albas Khan and Mustaqim Ahmed managed two wickets each to apply break to the MPA chase and successfully held them to 78 runs.

Thounaojam Ruman was the highest run getter with 22 runs for MPA.

Mustaqim Ahmed of RCA who picked up 2 wickets and scored an unbeaten 16 in their innings was adjudged man of the match.
