IRC-A, MPSC-C to square off in semis

Imphal, March 29 2023: Imphal Riding Club-A and MPSC-C will square off in the semifinals of the 2nd Imphal West District Polo Tournament, following their quarterfinals victories on Wednesday.

Imphal Riding Club-A galloped to a 6-3 win over MPSC-A as L Rohit hammered four goals in their triumph en route the last four.

Rohit scored a goal each in the first and second chukkers before he collected two more goals in the third chukker.

Omesh Gurung and K Herojit contributed one goal apiece.

On the other hand, Y Binoy scored all three goals of MPSC-A .

MPSC-C, meanwhile, cruised to the semifinals with a 17-7 thrashing of KMMRS-B .

M Jawan led the rout scoring six goals as S Abungcha claimed five goals and T Roshan grabbed a treble, with S Bimol bagging two goals and Viking Salam contributing one in their thumping victory.

On the other hand, M Naoba racked up four goals, Ch Ajit scored two and A Bijeshor got one in a losing cause.

The semifinals will be played on Thursday (March 30) as MPSC-B and Thangmeiband YPC start the day before IRC-A and MPSC-C take the field.
