Imphal, November 15 2013 :
The United Committee Manipur (UCM) today cautioned the people not to fall prey to rumour over the scarcity of salt in the State while pledging that it would launch a drive against traders who took advantage of the rumour and sold salt at exorbitant price.
Addressing reporters today at its office at Lamphel, UCM vice-president Chandramani Khumancha sought the cooperation of the law enforcing agency in its efforts to check the price of salt at various places of the State while urging the State Govt to trace the rumour mongers and punish fittingly.
