To create positive first impression Tulihal airport inspected

A team of officials led by Ministry of Home Affairs, Foreign Division Joint Secretary V Vumlunmang and Chief Secretary PC Lawnkunga today visited Tulihal Airport and conducted a direct assessment of the preparations being made there for the maiden landing of international flight on November 21 .
The official team also included DGP MK Das, Principal Secretary (Industries) O Nabakishore, Principal Secretary (Home) Suresh Babu, SP (CID) Achin Haokip, Tourism Director Th Chitra and Tulihal Airport's GM (ATM) Pradip Kando, informed a source.
Preparation of infrastructure/facilities required for immigration and customs checking at the arrival terminal have been completed just as necessary preparations have been completed in departure terminal.
The team directed officials concerned to complete the preparation and beautification works by November 18 .
The team also inspected the spot where the Myanmarese delegation would be given State reception on November 21.It is reported that restrictions imposed on entry of foreign nationals into Manipur under Protected Area Permit (PAP) would apply to Myanmarese delegation.
Yet, the fee required to be paid under PAP would be waived off as a special case for the Manipur Sangai Tourism Festival 2013, and they would be given special permission to visit Manipur, informed the source.
