Liquors seized

Jiribam, January 11 2012:
The Jiri Police yesterday in a raid seized a large consignment of Indian made foreign liquors which were meant for the ensuing general election on its way to Jiribam from Assam.
The consignment of 128 cases of rum, whiskey, vodka and beers were seized by a joint team of Jiribam Police and NCB led by OC L Khogen and ASI L Ranchandra on Tuesday night.
Speaking to reporters, Additional SP O Menjor said that the liquors were seized from a Tata Magic vehicle while being smuggled to Jiribam.
The seized liquors have been handed over to the Excise post at Jiribam this afternoon.
