Nipamacha critical

Former Chief Minister W Nipamacha is in critical condition at Shija Hospitals and Research Institution, where he was admitted to on July 7 midnight.
According to a health bulletin issued by SHRC, Nipamacha who has a history of hypertension, chronic kidney disease, cardiac problem and stroke was referred from RIMS.
Due to Artial Fribillation, there was a clot in the right lower limb artery with impending gangrene, said the bulletin and added that after the clot was removed, the patient developed hypotension (low BP) and renal failure.
On the advice of Dr Gulliver, consultant nephrologist of the hospital, Nipamacha underwent Peritoneal Dialysis after which there was a slight improvement and subsequently Slow Low Efficiency Dialysis was advised.
The patient's condition has improved marginally, with blood pressure and urine output improving, but he is still in a critical condition, added the bulletin.
