Contact Programme for talented school boys

Imphal, July 12 2012:
Manipur Science and Technology Council (MASTEC) will be organizing a residential type contact programme for talented school boys from July 16 to 20 at the training hall of Art and Culture Department at Palace Compound.
The programme is to be supported by NCSTC, DST, Govt of India and intake capacity is 44 students including guide teachers from 11 selected schools.
In a statement, Director of MASTEC Th Surendranath Singh said that the programme aims at giving the students an exposure to the exciting world of science.
The activities will include visiting research laboratories, academic institutions including universities, face to face with scientists, science elocution, popular science talk, hands on project etc.
LP Gonmei, IAS, Principal Secretary (S & T), Govt of Manipur; Prof N Rajmuhon Singh, Chemistry Department of Manipur University and Th Surendranath Singh, Director of MASTEC will be the Chief Guest, the Guest of Honor and the President of the inaugural function respectively.
