Bandh supporters on Friday attacked an ambulance belonging to Senapati District Hospital and its driver manhandled at Koirengei around 1.00 pm.

The doctor was forced to return back to Imphal.
A press vehicle coming from Senapati was also turned back by bandh volunteers at Sekmai raising serious question as to why such exemption and understanding was never there among the bandh enforcers and their leaders.
The medical community in the district has appealed the public and various unions to abstain from such obstruction on humanitarian service.
For such humanitarian services which are carried out irrespective of race, people or tribes in every place, it is deemed necessary for everyone to respect and cooperate for the charitable work, said a source.
