Upgradation of CHC Mao, PHSC Pudunamei

As a part of providing health care services in the peripheral areas of the State, two newly constructed Labour Rooms and New Born Sterilising Unit were inaugurated at Community Health Centre Mao and Primary Health Sub Centre Pudunamei on August 28.The two Labour Rooms and the Sterilising Unit were inaugurated by local MLA L Dikho and Okram Ibomcha, Director Health Services and Director National Health Mission Manipur.
Besides, the dental unit of CHC Mao was upgraded by installing a new dental X Ray Machine.
Moreover, a New Born Sterilising Unit was also opened at CHC Mao where three radiant warmers were being newly installed.
Two refrigerators were also handed over to CHC Mao and PHSC Pudunamei for storage.
Speaking on the occasion MLA Dikho said that the State Government is taking keen interest in bringing health tourism in the State.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Dr Okram Ibomcha informed the recently recruited specialist doctors of gynaecologists and anaesthesiologists would be posted in various health centres.
He also said that the department is making effort to make Mao CHC available for 24/7 hours service.
Deputy Commissioner, Senapati district Jacintha Lazarus and other government officials also attended the function.
