ATUM extends gratitude

Aimol Tribe Union, Manipur (ATUM) has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the 20 Assam Rifles and State Government for providing security services to the people of Ngairong in the aftermath of the August 22 incident where one Walunglua Aimol was shot dead by suspected NSCN-IM militants.
On August 22, after the incident, personnel of 20 Assam Rifles and State police force have been providing security cover to the villagers of Ngairong and its surrounding area, a statement issued by ATUM secretary said.
The statement further expressed confidence that the State Government and the AR would continue extending assistance to the villagers.
