Teachers appeal
The Teachers Association, JNIMS, Imphal has appealed the JNIMS authority and JAC of Pong Lambi to refrain from causing disturbance to the normal functioning of the hospital.
The association, in a statement today, also appealed to JNIMS authority and JAC of Pong Lambi to strike an amicable and peaceful solution in public interest at the earliest.
Blood donation camp
A blood donation camp was organised to commemorate Sant Pravar Shri Vigyan Devji Maharaj birth anniversary today at Satguru Sadafaldeo Ashram, Vihagum Yog Dhan Kendra, Kontha Ahallup, Mantripukhri.
A total of 42 donors donated blood at the occasion, according to the organisers.
Free medical camp held
Social Development Club, Wangbal conducted a free medical camp at the club ground today on the occasion of its 12th foundation day, our correspondent reports.
The club also distributed free medicines during the camp.
Free heart screening
A one day free heart screening camp was organised by Manipur Heart Foundation (MHF) in association with Sky Hospital and Research Centre and Indo-Burma Sports Association today at IBSA Club building, Yumnam Leikai.
110 people were treated by a medical team during the camp.
IED recovered
Imphal West district police commando recovered an unassembled IED on Singjamei Bridge last night around 11.A source said the police team found explosive materials, battery, circuit and detonator packed in a container.
The recovered materials were handed over to Singjamei PS.
Consultation meet
A one day consultation meet on New Education Policy (NEP) was held at SCERT multipurpose hall, Lamphelpat today.
The programme was graced by Higher and Technical Education and SCERT Commissioner P Vaiphei, SCERT Director Meenakumari and ex-Vice-Chancellor of MU C Amuba as presidium members.
VA chairman clarifies
Taosang Village Authority chairman Lanaimei has cautioned that G Tamjanlung (65) s/o (L) Pantigong of Pheijingthong Nambol Kabui village in Bishnupur district must be held responsible for any unwanted incident happened in Taosang village.
Tamjanlung did not come when SDM Khoupum called him to settle the standoff, said a statement.
Impact TV
The Editor-in-Chief of Impact TV has informed that transmission of news and programs along Tiddim road and Indo-Myanmar road from Krishna Premi oil pump onward will be down as the OFC cable has been snapped due to the dismantling of HT poles by the Power Department.
Efforts are underway to restore them as soon as possible, added the Editor-in-Chief.
