Two unknown miscreants hijacked one R-15 bike at gunpoint from a youth at Khongnang Pheidekpi under Singjamei police station today morning at around 3 am.
Family of the youth has lodged a written complaint at Singjamei police station at around 7 am.
Sources said that Yumnam Jatishwor and Soibam Folen, who were returning home in an R-15 bike (MN01V- 3785) after attending a Mera Hou Chongba programme was followed by two unidentified miscreants early today morning.
After dropping Soibam Folen at his gate, Yumnam Gyanendro headed towards his residence.
When he was about to reach his house, he was stopped by the two miscreants and requested him to tell the road that leads to Andro.
When Gyanendro was trying to show the road, one of the miscreants who look like Meetei questioned Gyanendro why he quarrelled with the guys who came in a Bajaj Pulsar stating that they are their 'party members' .
Even as Gyanendro was trying to clarify the matter, another youth who looked like Muslim came up towards Gyanendro and threatened with a pistol.
Gyanendro then took out the key from his bike and ran inside his residential complex.
The miscreants followed him up to their veranda.
On seeing Gyanendro's family members coming out from the house, a miscreant snatched the key of the bike from Gyanendro and fled with the bike after firing a round in the air.
