Hill District's Recognized Private Schools Association (HIDIPSAM) is all set to organise a rally in all hill districts of Manipur on November 4 against the alleged insensitivity of the Board of Secondary Education Manipur towards the grievances of the Hill district recognized private schools.
A press note issued by HIDIPSAM General Secretary Seikhojam Kipgen said that the association is irked by the callousness of the Board and its apathy towards the grievances highlighted in the memorandum submitted November 2014.He said that in the light of BoSEM going ahead with the Additional English and MIL issue much against the interest of the tribal populace, the executive meeting held today at MBC Women Conference hall, Imphal, resolved to hold rallies on the November 4 in all the six District Headquarters in order to press for fulfilling the demand for a cabinet resolution on language issue.
He further said that the issue of Additional English (MIL) has affected numerous students in the hill districts and with the approaching of HSLC-2016, many class X students are still in a fix as many of them are deprived of their choices of subjects.
HIDIPSAM Secretary also warned that the association will not bow down and follow blindly the education policies framed by outsiders unless all principals are consulted in matters relating to the choice of subjects and students' welfare.
