Letkholal murder case: JSF urges Govt to file charge-sheet

Joint Students' Federation (JSF) has appealed to the State Government to file the charge- sheet in the murder case of Late Letkholal Haokip, president Haokip Students' Organisation (HSO) at National Game Village on October 22, 2017 in a competent Court.
The JSF in a release issued on Saturday stated that an FIR was registered at Lamphel Police and investigation was carried out under the supervision of Waikhomba, SDPO, Lamphel Police.
However, it has been learnt that no charge-sheet has been filed in the Court till date and the case investigation details of the murder are presently under the custody of ASP (Law & Order), Imphal West, it added.
The federation also mentioned that meetings were also held in this regard between the representatives of Kuki Inpi Manipur, KSO GHQ, HPC GHQ, deceased family and the Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
At the meeting, a mutual agreement was made wherein the Chief Minister assured to compensate the deceased family with one suitable Government job and to arrest all the culprits involved, it added.
It also alleged that the Government has failed to fulfil the assurances given to the deceased family and kept the culprits under its shadow for the past 4 years.
The JSF further urged the State Government to fulfil all the assurances given to the family of the deceased and file a charge-sheet against the culprit at a competent Court at the earliest, failing which the federation would be compelled to resort to various forms of agitation until justice is served to the late Letkholal Haokip and his family.
