Heirok MLA calls for peaceful election

While lamenting sporadic incidents of election related violence in Heirok assembly constituency including attack on journalist since the past few days, former minister and incumbent Heirok MLA Th Radheshyam has termed the violence as very unfortunate and called upon the people whosoever responsible not to repeat such acts anymore.
Addressing media persons on Sunday at his residence, Radheshyam said that there are three intending candidates for the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election in Heirok AC.
With the assembly election approaching, there had been several incidents of election related violence in Heirok and the modes of violence indeed were shameful for the people of the constituency, he said and appealed to all those involved in the violence to stop immediately.
Chief minister N Bit en has been informed about election related violence in Heirok and urged to deploy adequate security personnel, Radheshyam said, adding that the nature of violence in Heirok is shameful for ali intending candidates.
He then appealed to rival candidates to campaign for the election in peaceful manner while clarifying that none, of his workers were involved in any violent incident so far.
