Legal awareness camp organised

Imphal, October 24 2021:
As a part of the Legal Awareness & Outreach Campaign launched by National Legal Services Authority (NALSA); District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Imphal West in collaboration with Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) conducted a Legal Awareness Campaign with use of Multi Utility Mobile Vans on Sunday.
The programme was flagged off from Judges' Guest House in Khoyathong by A Guneshwar Sharma in the presence of media coordinator Salam Debananda, remand lawyer RK Imoba, paralegal Y Kalmark, Moirangthem Chumba, DLSA Imphal West PLVs and bar members.
The campaign using Multi Utility Mobile Vans was conducted at Samurou Bazar, Samurou Social Development Club, Samurou Naorem, Wangoi Bazar, Laxmi Bazar, Sekmajin, Mayang Imphal PS, etc.
In all, 1253 people were made aware about free legal aid and services during the programme.
According to a statement, High Court of Manipur Justice and MASLSA executive chairman Kh Nobin had launched the programme on October 22, in the presence of District & Sessions Judge, Imphal West cum DLSA Imphal West chairman A Guneshwar Sharma; District & Sessions Judge, Imphal East cum DLSA Imphal East chairperson RK Memcha Devi; MASLSA member secretary Ojesh Mutum; CJM Imphal East cum DLSA Imphal East secretary N Lanleima; CJM Imphal West cum DLSA Imphal West Y Somorjit Singh, and MASLSA deputy member secretary Sorokhaibam Sadananda.
