Editors appeal against extras bills

Imphal, March 02 2014 :
Editors' Guild, Manipur has appealed to the newspapers and hawkers to restrain from submitting bill to the subscribers against the days on which there were no publication.
Furthermore, the Guild urged the subscribers not to entertain such extra bills.
Newspaper hawkers/distributors get 33 percent commission from the media houses and no media houses charged anything from them for the days on which there were no publication or if they failed to collect and distribute the newspapers copies, President of the Guild A Mobi Singh clarified in a statement.
