Ripple effcts of O Joy quitting the MPP : Langthabal MPP committee abolished

After former MPP president O Joy quit the party, all the members of MPP Langthabal Kendra Committee have resigned from the party's membership and the committee has been abolished.
O Joy resigned from MPP together with two committee members on February 23 .
A meeting of MPP Langthabal Kendra Committee was held this morning with its president Laishram Brajamuhon and vice-presi-dent Ningthoujam in
the chair.
The gathering decided to abolish MPP Langthabal Kendra Committee apart from resigning from the party's central committee, delegate committee, district committee and kendra committee.
The meeting further re-solved to hold another meeting very soon and choose a party for the former MPP members.
Speaking to media persons after the meeting, O Joy said that the MPP kendra committee has been abolished along with resignation of all MPP members from the party's primary membership.
It has not been decided yet which political party the former MPP members would join.Manipur is still a backward State and there is regional imbalance and economic gaps in the country.
Saying that he would uphold regional interest while keeping in sight the overall outlook of India, Joy maintained that he would not rush to any political party presently in power.
Informing that he would join a party which can bring regional balance and economic growth in the country, Joy said that he is yet to take a decision.
But information available with the press says that Joy and his supporters would join a party currently in power.
On being enquired which party and candidate the former MPP members would support in the forthcoming Lok Sabha election, Joy said that appropriate decision would be taken at the appropriate time.
On being asked if he would accept Lok Sabha ticket if any party offers him, Joy stated he would consult people of his Assembly segment if such a situation arises.
Confiding that he would like to continue his political career and fight the Lok Sabha election after joining a party which has the potential to form the Government, Joy said that he would sit in the Opposition bench in case he fights election.
He iterated that he would like to demonstrate how a Minister can serve the people.
There is a disconnect between people and most of the incumbent Ministers.
It appears that they see only their families and relatives, Joy said.
