CDNKJC regrets burning effigy of Opposition MLA

Chandel District Naga Kuki Joint Committee (CDNKJC) has expressed its gratitude to all individuals, organizations irrespective of belonging to the Naga and Kuki communities for the overwhelming response it got during the 48-hr total Chandel Bandh imposed from midnight of February 7, however, it has conveyed regret over the incident of burning the effigy of MLA of 41-Chandel A/C St Nunghlung Victor Anal by the bandh supporters.
Speaking to media in this regard here today, Convener of the Committee Ws Kanral Anal, while commenting on the mass participation to ensure success of the bandh, also tendered apology to all individuals, parties and organizations for the inconvenience caused due to the bandh.
Kanral expressed hope that the proposed meeting of March 4 under the initiatives of both the MLAs of 41-Chandel AC and 42-Tengoupal A/C will yield positive results in favor of the Committee's demand.
He also expressed regret over incident of burning effigies by the bandh supporters in which effigy of St Nunghlung Victor, an MLA of the Opposition was mistakenly included.
