Goods worth lakhs stolen

In a daring robbery, goods worth lakhs of rupees were stolen from two different mobile phone stores and an electronic store in Paona Bazar last night.
In the heist, Unik Mobile opposite Friends Mini cinema hall, Brother Mobile and M/S Kiranbala Electronics located along Kakhulong road in Paona Bazar were looted by burglar(s) in the wee hours of today.
Owner of Unik Mobile, Sanjay Chaursia (32) stated that his shop housed mostly Samsung, Sony, iball cell phones and goods worth over Rs 5 lakh have been stolen.
Meanwhile, electronic appliances like LED TV, refrigerator, washing machine, Sony and Samsung cameras worth Rs 80,000 have been stolen from his store, stated Sarangthem Ibocha (64) of Malom, owner of M/S Kiranbala Electronics.

Cell phones worth Rs 3.5 lakh were reportedly stolen from Brother Mobiles which is owned by Tourangbam Koireng of Uripok Gopalgi Leirak.
Both the stores located at Kakhulong road are owned by Tourangbam Heramani while Unik Mobile is owned by one Sushil Pakni.
Forensic experts and a combined team of City police combed the three shops for find traces of the burglars.
Security reports suggested that the reserved line police team posted in that area was posted somewhere else last night which could have given the culprit(s) a chance to loot the shops.
