Seminar begins

A two-day seminar on Homoeopathy, jointly organised by NSS Cell of Manipur University, Regional Research Institute (H), Imphal and Homoeopathic Medical Association, Manipur has kick started at the centenary hall of Manipur University from today.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Phungzathang Tonsing, Homoeopathic Medical Association president Dr M Nara and MU's School of Human and Environmental Dean Prof N Deva graced the opening function as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Phungzathang Tonsing while speaking at the opening function said that understanding the importance of Ayush in healthcare, the Central Government has hiked the fund allocated to Ayush from Rs 6000 crore to 15,000 crore.
Stating that there is an interrelationship between Allopathy and Homoeopathy, the Minister said that these two disciplines must go hand in hand in providing treatment to the patients.
He further said that the State would have an Ayush hospital from May this year.
