Lamka, January 25 2013:
The KSDC today claimed that over 32 vehicles have been stranded along the Imphal-Jiribam road while another 3 vehicles have been stoned at Senapati.
The Imphal-Churachandpur and Imphal Moreh roads have been peaceful so far though bandh supporters have turn-out in hundreds, said a KSDC source.
Amid the public blockade, the Kuki State Demand Committee has granted special pass to the participants of the 23rd National Canoe Sprint 2012-15 on the ground that it is a National event and for the respect of the game, reports our correspondent.
"We hope that we will be able to organise such events ourselves when our dream of Kuki State is attained," said George Guite on the sidelines of announcing the special relaxation.
"We are grateful that the KSDC has treated in a very special way" said Dusenta, the games Organising Secretary and Secretary of the state Canoe Sprinters.
