Four mobile health service ambulances would be provided to villages located close to Myanmar border in Chandel, Churachandpur and Ukhrul districts under Border Area Development Programme (BADP) .
Chief Secretary PC Lawmkunga today convened a meeting and discussed about healthcare facilities and the special provision of mobile ambulances to border villages with officials of Health Department, Planning Department and DCs.
The four ambulances already procured by Planning Department would be allotted to Chandel, Moreh, Churachandpur and Ukhrul.
The meeting discussed about inviting Chief Minister O Ibobi to flag off the mobile health service ambulances shortly.
On the other hand, a meeting of the State steering committee of which former Planning Commission member Sudha Pillai is a consultant held a meeting yesterday and deliberated on enacting a new land use policy of the State.
The meeting was participated by the Chief Secretary, top officials of different departments and DCs, and they deliberated at length on formulating a new land use policy.
In connection with the proposed land use policy, Sudha Pillai went to Senapati and made a field assessment.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister O Ibobi together with Ministers and relevant officials reviewed progress of the Inclusive Tribal Development Project being implemented in the hill districts, informed a source.
