Enrolment campaign held at Kumbi

Membership enrolment campaign for BJP was conducted today at Kumbi Terakha for Kumbi Assembly Constituency by Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Manipur at the residence of former MLA Ningthoujam Mangi Singh.
Large number of people from different areas of the A/C enrolled to BJP during the campaign.
Among the dignitaries of the function included former MLA Ningthoujam Mangi, president of BJYM O Malesh, pradhan of Saiton Gram Panchayat (G/P) S Samu, Wangoo Terakhong G/P P Balesor, Wangoo G/P N Sanatomba, Chairperson of Kumbi Municipal Council N Ibecha Devi and vice-chairperson W Bobychand.
Former member of Communist Party of India (CPI) Mangi on joining the BJP stated that he will continue to work for the betterment of the public even if he joins BJP.

"CPI is where I started my political career and to honour our late leader I will continue to observe 'Irawat Day' every year," stated seasoned politician Mangi while addressing at the function.
Decrying the present local MLA's attitude towards development works of Kumbi A/C, he stated that there is no quality control in various development works.
The pathetic road condition from Moirang to Kumbi is a living proof that there is no development works in the A/C.He urged the people to support BJP in the upcoming general election scheduled to be held on 2017, to defeat the ruling Congress party and usher in a new political awakening where there is equality and development for all.
He also clarified that he did not joined BJP to acquire ticket for the upcoming general election.
Failure of number of Minor Irrigation projects in Kumbi A/C is another example where the local MLA has been looting from the public, he added.
Further he affirmed that he will not join any other political party after joining the BJP.
Among other speakers, O Malesh claimed that BJP is not a communal political party as claimed by other political parties.
He added that the ideology of BJP is similar with CPI and assured that N Mangi will further work for development of the public after joining BJP.
Meanwhile, BJP activist of the A/C Sanjoy Ahanthem condemned the local MLA for his alleged failure to highlight the grievances of people of the AC in the State Assembly.
He added that the local MLA should never be allowed to lead the people of Kumbi A/C in future.
