Imphal, March 01 2016:
The DRDA Staff Welfare Association, Churachandpur has
opposed the proposal to re-engage retired staff and extend
deputation period of staff from other departments claiming that
there are sufficient staff to perform and deal with office works.
Citing various memos of the Government on terms of
engaging staff and a High Court remark, the association
said in spite of sufficient staff in the DRDA, staff are still
deputed from other departments.
It is also learnt that there are some deputed staff who
are taking political help to get re-engaged at DRDA after
retirement, alleged the association.
It has further called on
the authority concerned to ensure that the retired staff are
not re-engaged and to repatriate deputation staff to their
parent departments.
